Lawyers from Disini Law participated in the first-ever “Paddle Forward: Fintech for Good Pickleball Cup,” a landmark event organized by Fintech Alliance.Ph on July 12, 2025. The tournament successfully brought together the Philippine fintech industry’s leaders and innovators at Athlete Central PH for a day of spirited competition and valuable networking.

The event served as a prime avenue for building connections within the fintech community, uniting 140 players from 24 key institutions, including regulators, banks, and technology pioneers. Disini Law fielded three pairs – Attys. Lars Serzo, Paula Filart, Kemp Afable, Miguel Quijano, Golda Sarmiento, Dorothy Venus – showcasing a strong competitive performance. In a notable achievement, two of the firm’s pairs, placed in the beginner and intermediate categories, advanced to a “battle for third” finish, highlighting the members’ skill and teamwork.

More than just a sporting event, “Paddle Forward” provided a unique platform for Disini Law to connect with key figures and corporations in the fintech space. The tournament was organized not only for competition but for camaraderie, wellness, and a shared mission to create lasting impact, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the industry.
