zo participated as key panel member during the much-anticipated Regulatory Breakout Session at GCash iGnite 2025: Future4ward, held at the SMX Convention Center in SM Aura last 8 July 2025.
The Regulatory Breakout Session, which focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence, innovation, and regulation, gathered thought leaders from both government and industry to discuss the future of responsible AI in the Philippine fintech landscape. Atty. Serzo shared key insights on navigating emerging AI risks from both internal and external factors, as well as how to build a robust AI governance. Joining her on the panel are Atty. Arnold Kabanlit, OIC Director of the Detection and Prevention Department of the AMLC; Atty. Roberto Figueroa, the BSP General Counsel; Dir. Franklin Anthony M. Tabaquin IV from the NPC’s Privacy Policy Office; Radhakrishnan Rajagopalan, Ascendion’s Chief Delivery and Technology Officer; and Miguel Geronilla, GCash’s Chief Information Security Officer. The panel was moderated by Atty. Rob Real, GCash’s Vice President and Group Data Protection Officer.
The session was one of the event’s highlights, drawing an engaged audience of fintech leaders, policymakers, and digital advocates. GCash iGnite, now in its fourth year, continues to be a premier platform for shaping the digital finance agenda in the Philippines.
