The Philippine Records Management Association (PRMA), a member of the National Committee on Archives, under the Subcommission for Cultural Heritage of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts and a Civil Service Commission – accredited training institution on records management, has invited JJ Disini to give a discussion during the seminar-workshop on “Managing Social Media Records and Information” it will be on December 9-11, 2014 in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. His discussion will focus on the salient features of the Cybercrime Law and the Data Privacy Act and their impact on records and information management as part of the seminar’s topic on Social Media on the Law. About 200 PRMA members, record managers, administrative officers and supervisory personnel in records and information management from the national and local government sector and other private offices are expected to attend the said event.
