Ofelia obtained her Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Philippines College of Law, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree from the same university. Her practice areas include technology, data privacy, intellectual property, litigation and arbitration.
She was previously part of a Makati-based firm where she was exposed to the different areas of legal practice such as litigation and arbitration, construction law, and intellectual property. Additionally, Ofelia has also handled corporate and labor matters, including but not limited to contract and policy reviews.
Currently, Ofelia is a Legal Policy Officer of the University of the Philippines College of Law Technology, Law and Policy Program. As such, she has been immersed in legal research and review of the different regulations of different government instrumentalities. She is also involved in drafting papers related to the relationship of law and technology, and assessment of the application of current technological advancements to government procedure and policies.
