LAUNCHING ACTIVITIES OF THE U.P. LAW PROGRAM ON
INTERNET AND SOCIETY (UP LAW-ISP)
On August 10, 2001, the UP Law ISP will launch its
various initiatives including its website, a quarterly newsletter, a technology
law journal, seminars and other special events.
Atty. JJ Disini was appointed Executive Director
of the U.P. College of
Law Program on Internet and Society. The program aims to be a center
for studies in cyberspace law and public policy.
ITECC LEGAL CLUSTER. Atty. JJ Disini
is a co-Chair of the ITECC (I.T. and E-Commerce Council) Legal Cluster.
The cluster is currently assisting various government agencies (including
the Bureau of Internal Revenue and the Department of Trade & Industry)
in implementing the E-Commerce Act. |
